Whistling Cow Crafts

Originally from Indiana and St. Louis, Sarah Georg now lives in Northern California and teaches ceramics at Blossom Hill Crafts.  Her main focus is on wheel thrown and altered pieces.  She has recently begun to explore creating sculptural pieces, as well.

For Sarah, creativity comes when there arrives an unplanned, unwanted, or unexpected hiccup in the process of making.  It is at that point where she feels most challenged intellectually and artistically.  Her best days are not those where everything flows smoothly, but rather, where challenges abound.  Those are the opportunities to have the biggest breakthroughs, and to create something unexpected.  Sarah’s motto is:  “Turn the flaw into the feature.”
